The Arts Centre Cootamundra (TACC) had our 20 Year Celebration in May 2024. The month-long celebration took the form of a Festival with a variety of events and activities.

Festival of Turtles Opening Cocktail Party.

Social Dance Workshop - FREE

Joined Dance Makers Collective to learn some new moves. Get moving and grooving at this fun and relaxed workshop. All ages and abilities welcome.

Flora & Fauna Stencil Art Workshop

Creating stencil art inspired by Australian flora and fauna, as well as the amazing artworks of May Gibbs.

Joined with Dance Makers Collective and Lock Stock & Bingle in a solid evening of joyous dancing with partners, family and friends.

Classical Music Concert
Wednesday 8th of May, 6:30pm for a 7pm start
Featured the “Kurrajong Ensemble” who will presented a varied programme of music from the 18th century to the present day.

TACC OPEN DAY - Free

Visual arts demonstrations, hands-on activities, performances, Bollywood Fashion, Open Potters Shed and more.

TWILIGHT SOUND SHOW - Free
Saturday 11th May, from 6pm
A fun and relaxed evening for the whole family featuring the Kapooka Folk Band, the Kapooka Acoustic Band and the Samoan Choir.

EXHIBITION: “May Gibbs Influenced Illustrations”
The Exhibition will opened on Saturday 18th of May 2024 to coincide with the opening night of the production and closed on Sunday 26th of May, the day of the final performance. It was also be open during the week when the TACC Office was open (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 1pm and 4pm).
This Exhibition featured artworks inspired by the enchanting world of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, written and illustrated by May Gibbs in 1918. 

PRODUCTION “Snugglepot and Cuddlepie: The Musical in Concert.”
5 Shows starting on Saturday 18th May.
A community performed musical featuring local actors, dancers, singers and musicians.
