Cootamundra Community Choir

The Cootamundra Community Choir was established in 2023 and performed for the first time at “Coota Quest” in December 2023 (pictured). It was a great success and we are pleased to say that the Choir will continue in 2024!

The Arts Centre Cootamundra invites all current members of the Cootamundra Community Choir to rejoin for Term 2 2024. We also invite and encourage new members to join. The more members we have, the lower the term fee will be. The term fee includes 10 weeks of Choir sessions, Choir Master Fee, travel time (40mins each way from Young), Travel Costs and TACC Venue hire including piano costs. TACC administration costs are incorporated into the Venue Hire fee.

You can register and pay at the TACC Office between 1pm and 4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Or click the below button to join online.

About the Choir

A Community Choir for enthusiastic singers from Cootamundra and surrounds. All adults and children 10 years and older are welcome to join. Choir sessions will be run on Wednesdays from 5:30pm sharp at TACC and will go for 1 hour.

Leading this choir is the amazing Mark Brooker from the Young Regional Conservatorium. Mark is an experienced performer who has played multiple instruments on both national and international stages including those in New Zealand, Australia, America, Germany, and United Kingdom. He has also worked extensively with local and internationally based choirs, instrumental ensembles, and soloists as a conductor in New Zealand and Australia. We are very lucky to have someone as talented as Mark as part of this community project.

Working as a combined group, Mark will show you how to work together to make music in a healthy and sustainable way. He will cover vocal techniques, general vocal health.

LESSONS WITH MARK - In addition to the Community Choir, there is an opportunity to have more personalised lessons with Mark. Individual or small group, singing or musical instrument. All enquiries to be directed to the Young Regional Conservatorium on 02 6382 5735.
