DABBLE DAY
Fabric Beads with Beverly Moxon
A relaxing day of slow stitching and chatter. We will make fabric beads to either adorn ones self or to combine with tassels on book marks, bags or whatever takes your fancy.
We will use the Japanese technique of Boro which is a method of mending and repair. We will use that simple mending stitch as a basis for our bead and it’s decoration.
Please bring:
Scissors
Needle for stitching
A beading needle (fine enough to go through a tiny seed bead)
Embroidery cottons
A ball of fine crochet cotton any colour.
Small pieces of various cotton fabrics. About the size of a fat quarter would be good
Seed beads of any colour
PVA craft glue
COST: $8pp. Please bring your own lunch (or you can visit the nearby coffee shop).
No need to book. Simply turn up.
