Collagraph

This workshop aims to expose participates to a range of expressive printmaking methods, focusing on collagraph as the primary medium and moving into mono-printing, chine-collé and hand-colouring to create several variations, and unique state prints.

Collagraphy is a printmaking technique, where collage materials are glued to a plate to create a relief surface that holds ink. Materials such as cardboard, string, fabric and leaves can be used to create a variety of textures.

Participants will learn how to create marks and tones on a plate, apply ink and print images using an etching press. This workshop aims to provide fast results and participants will take home several unique state prints.
