The journey of two young indigenous men, understanding the Voice to Parliament and sitting with elders across the top end to see how it measures up.
The sun-drenched landscapes of the Northern Territory form the backdrop for a politically neutral, storytelling approach aimed at fostering learning and connection between Indigenous Australian communities and urban Australians. Our Voice, Our Heart chronicles the transformative journey of two First Nations men, Jaxon De Santis and Justin Grant, as they grapple with their uncertainty about the impending Voice to Parliament referendum.
Motivated by the glaring knowledge gap between urban dwellers and remote Indigenous communities, Jaxon and Justin embark on a journey to understand the perspectives of those who will be most affected by the referendum. Their quest is not only to find their own voices but also to empower others to do the same.
It is an open invitation to embark on a shared journey of understanding, guided by the wisdom and experiences of diverse First Nations communities across the NT.
