COURSE: Wine Appreciation

Wine Appreciation Course

A fun and informative course for wine enthusiasts led by Graham Cossey.

Over 4 weeks in November you will increase your knowledge in

  • Wine tasting,

  • Identifying quality,

  • Specific flavours and aromas, and

  • Wine making techniques.

Graham will cover key varieties produced in Australia, both white and red. He will also spend time comparing regions, vintages and some imported wines. The primary focus will be on premium quality wine.

ABOUT GRAHAM: Graham has 35 years experience in the wine industry including General Management, Marketing and Production with McWilliams, Wolf Blass, Andrew Garrett, Houghton wines and Krug Champagne. Graham also spent time as the Manager of the CSU Winery (which was part of the Wine Science School) and was an Associate Wine Judge and a foundation member of Wine Educators Australia.

WHEN: The course will run from 6pm to 8pm on 4 consecutive Tuesday nights in November (3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th)

WHERE: The Arts Centre Cootamundra, 18-20 Wallendoon Street.

COST: $180 per person. This covers all wine, material costs and venue.

Payment must be received by 12noon on Wednesday 28th October 2020. Payment can be made by

  • direct deposit (details supplied on request) or

  • cash at TACC during opening hours (Tues, Wed and Fri from 9am to 12noon).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Participants must be 18 years or older.

  • The course will run with 8 participants, maximum of 10.

  • The course will be run under strict COVID-19 and Responsible Service of Alcohol protocols.

  • It is advised that participants have a dedicated driver at the conclusion of each night.

  • It is advised that participants have a light meal before attending each night.

  • Part bottles of wine not consumed will be shared amongst participants to take home.
