PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING IN THE INCLUSIVE CLASSROOM
Professional Development for Primary and Secondary Educators and anyone with an interest in practical tips for inclusive learning.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an inclusive pedagogical framework for breaking down barriers to the Australian Curriculum for all students. By representing the Content Descriptors of the Australian Curriculum in multiple ways and allowing students to demonstrate the Achievement Standards in multiple ways, research shows that students become more engaged in the learning process. Implementation of the UDL framework leads to expert learners who are purposefully motivated, resourceful and knowledgeable, and strategically goal directed.
